Frequently Asked Questions

Do you provide online Tutoring?

I primarily specialize in in-person tutoring to maximize the effectiveness of our sessions. However, I can offer online tutoring should circumstances such as illness necessitate a temporary shift to a virtual format.

Do you tutor students with learning disabilities?

While my expertise is not specifically in learning disabilities, I have experience in teaching and supporting students with ADHD, anxiety, and depression. If you feel your child requires specialized behavioral and educational support, it may be beneficial to seek a tutor trained in these areas. Nevertheless, I am open to discussing your child's unique needs to determine how I might be able to assist.

How do you tailor your tutoring to individual student needs?

I focus on understanding each student's unique learning styles and interests by actively listening to their concerns, observing how they process information, and noting what engages them the most, then create lessons specifically designed to align with their strengths and address their challenges

What payment methods do you accept?

To avoid transaction fees, cash/check or mobile payments through bank transfers, Venmo, Zelle, and PayPal are preferred. However, you can still make an online debit/credit payment via this website with an additional charge (~3%). All banking information will be disclosed in your personal google drive folder.

Are your tutoring sessions available for durations shorter than one hour or longer than two hours?

I typically advise against sessions under an hour, but I'm willing to accommodate shorter durations with adjusted pricing in special, occasional cases. Additionally, I'm open to extending sessions beyond two hours when my schedule permits.

Unless the student is over 18, a parent/guardian is required to be on site for the initial three sessions. After that, their presence is optional, subject to the mutual agreement of the parent/guardian, the student, and myself.
